Welcome to our class page.

General Information for Dosbarth Aur:

PE days are a Wednesday, please send in PE kit to be kept in lockers (plain white t-shirt, black jogging bottoms/leggings or shorts, trainers)
We are a healthy school so ask for water in bottles and a healthy snack for break time
Please could all belonging be clearly labelled with your child's name- especially jumpers and cardigans.

Learning in Reception

Literacy- Throughout the year we do Read Write Inc phonics, letter formation, name writing, shared writing tasks, learning key words, handwriting, guided reading and writing 3 sentences including the word because in a range of contexts.

Maths- Throughout the year we will be focusing on number recognition, number formation, counting forwards and backwards, more/less, simple addition and subtraction, 2d and 3d shape, measures, handling data and we will apply them across our topic work. We will use Seesaw log where we will share lots of things that pupils have been learning each week. In addition we will share log in details for Purple Mash and Sumdog Maths for pupils to access at home as well as at school.

Topic- Throughout the year we will do 3 different topics within the Science & Technology, Expressive Arts and Humanities areas of learning. In addition, we will do 3 wellbeing topics -What is happiness?, You Are What You Eat and Making Choices to learn about keeping our mind and bodies healthy.

A parent topic overview will be emailed out to you before each topic to inform you of what the pupils will be learning about.
