Supporting neurodiversity

Here at Gwaunmeisgyn we are fully committed to supporting neurodiverse needs by providing the following:-

• Reasonable adjustments bespoke to meeting individual needs

• Calm spaces in each class and around the school

• Regulation stations in all classes with resources  and apparatus to support pupils.

• Visual timetables in all classes

• Visuals used around the school as part of regular signage

• Use of bespoke reward systems

• Use of bespoke visual timetables

• Use of now and next boards

• Close liaison with Parents on how best to support pupils

• Referrals to outside agencies for advice, support and assessment as required

• Use of one page profiles called "Growing, Learning, Achieving Together cards" (GLAT cards)
