Croeso i Ddosbarth Gwyrdd - Year 5

Welcome to our class page

Please can children bring their reading book in with their reading record signed after they have read at home. Books will be changed when they have read them.

Please remember to bring in a water bottle and healthy snack each day.

Every Wednesday from 20th September - 13th December, we will be going swimming to Llantrisant Leisure Centre. The bus will leave at 9am, so please can children arrive at 8:50am.

Every Friday, spelling practice sheets will be given, to learn for the following Friday. The words to learn can also be found further down this webpage.

Humanties

Our Humanities topic this term is called 'Beddau and Beyond'. We will be learning about Norway, and comparing it with Wales. If you have any photos or stories to share about the local area, or about Norway, please feel free to email me as we would love to know more!

We wrote a poem as a class to go into our school time capsule! We definitely have some amazing poets in Dosbarth Gwyrdd!

Do you like our 'Scream' portraits? We read about the Norwegian artist Edvard Munch and his most famous painting. We then used a green screen, took photos of each other and edited the photos.
